Please note there is a car show and another conference in Charlotte the weekend of SEWSA so book your rooms now! You will NOT be able to book a room in the university area at the last minute.
The official conference hotel for SEWSA 2008 is the Drury Inn & Suites Charlotte North. This hotel is located approximately two miles from the UNC Charlotte campus. The conference shuttle will pick up/drop off ONLY at the Drury Inn & Suites. There are a limited number of rooms available at the conference rate. Once the blocks of rooms are full, the hotels will not be able to honor the conference rate so book early.

Single and double rooms can be reserved for the conference at a rate of $109. These rates are not available through other reservation sources. The tax rate for Charlotte is 15.25%. Hotel rooms can be booked by calling the Holiday Inn at 1-704-547-0999. Please identify that you are with SEWSA when making your reservations. To receive the discounted conference rate you must make your reservations by 3/04/08. There are a limited number of rooms available at this rate. Once the block of rooms is full the Holiday Inn will not be able to honor the conference rate so book early.

Rooms at the Hilton start at approximately $149 per night. The Hilton is located across the street from the Drury Inn. It is feasible to cross the street and catch the shuttle at the Drury Inn. You will, however, have to cross a very busy street (approximately 8 lanes of traffic with a stoplight).
SHARING ROOMS
If you are interested in sharing a room and would like to be paired with other conference attendees please send an email to Carol Gay at cbgay@bellsouth.net. Please indicate the dates you need a room and the number of people you would like to share the room with (rooms hold a maximum of 4 people). We will put people who are interested in sharing rooms in contact with one another. It is the responsibility of the conference attendees to contact the people they will share the room with, to reserve the room, and to make payment arrangements. We will do our best to match people’s requests, but please realize this may not always be possible.
